I was playing in a comp the other day and I was just off the green. I saw a twig on my line and removed it but was told that was against the rules as I had improved my line. Could you clarify?

Answer: Wednesday, June 04, 2008

The twig is considered a loose impediment and therefore can be removed from the line of putt providing you do not press anything down.
